High-End Gaming Excellence: Samsung’s 2024 QD-OLED Monitor Line-up
Prepare for the next wave of state-of-the-art QD-OLED monitors from Samsung in 2024,
just in time for CES. Building on the success of the Alienware 34 QD-OLED, Samsung is poised to elevate the gaming monitor experience with two high-end offerings.
The first model, featuring a 31.5-inch display, stands out with its UHD resolution of 3840 x 2160 and an impressive pixel density of 140 pixels per inch. This makes it the OLED monitor with the highest pixel density on the market, comparable to a 65-inch 8K TV. Samsung achieved this feat by utilizing a specialized ultra-precise inkjet printing technology for the quantum dot light-emitting layer, optimizing the inkjet nozzle and spray volume.
But that’s not all – Samsung is also introducing a 27-inch QHD QD-OLED monitor with a ground-breaking 360Hz refresh rate, a first for OLED monitors. The Quantum Enhancer, a proprietary AI-driven algorithm, enables this high refresh rate, surpassing the previous limit of 240Hz seen in OLED monitors. This model also boasts a rapid response time of up to 0.03ms, making it an ideal choice for professional first-person-shooter (FPS) gamers.
Both monitors are in the final stages of mass production and are expected to hit retail stores next year, shortly after their debut at CES 2024. With this expanded product line-up, Samsung aims to triple its total display shipments in 2024 compared to the previous year.
Given Alienware’s teaser of two new QD-OLED monitors in October, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Samsung’s innovative panels featured not only there but also from other manufacturers. Stay tuned for the unveiling of these cutting-edge displays that are set to redefine the gaming monitor landscape.
